It seemed like you had a really good time on Celebrity Traitors last year. Hanging on your every word. How was it? Who did you keep in touch with? breeze
They didn’t hang on my every word at all. I am fascinated to see it now. Because you can see how people follow each other from afar. That group mentality was very evident at the round table, but I always went in a different direction and people didn’t follow me. Then of course I accused Alan. [Carr] At the end, “I think you are too, right?” So I had to go the next day. I wasn’t sure what I was letting myself in for, but I had a great time.
kate [Garraway] After that, I had to continue working on Uncloaked. She turned to me and said: “Oh, but Celia, we’re all one happy family now, aren’t we?” I said this. “Well, to be honest, I never want to see any of them again in my life.” Then everyone laughed. But the truth is, we haven’t actually seen each other since. Nonetheless, I thought I was in really great company and I liked it all.
You seemed to have been paying the most attention to detail. 1987 BBC michael caine performance in the movie This class is currently popular on YouTube. He seemed like a really kind and informative teacher. What skills did you learn? PaulyVLondon
Maria Aitken asked me if I wanted to participate. Some of my friends said, “Oh God, you don’t want to look like those students on television.” I said, “What are you talking about? I want to say good morning like Michael Caine does in the movies.” I was happy to be a part of it. One of his famous things was to not blink when taking close-ups. He also told me to prepare my props the night before. And here’s something rather surprising. The point is that you should think of the camera as your lover. The camera is ready to love you, so you should return the favor. I remembered it all.
So I sit and watch. Star Wars: The Phantom Menace Who flies in a spaceship? How on earth did you end up doing that? Bisley_Jaffa_Cake
Oddly enough, I was doing a play called The Hothouse with the late, great Harold Pinter. At a matinee performance, little did I know that the Star Wars casting director was sitting in the audience. She took one look at me in my pajamas and thought, “She’s going to make a great fighter pilot.” And I’m really happy to be part of Bravo 5.
By the way, I have no idea if I got shot, killed someone, survived, or whose side I was on. I don’t know anything about it other than it’s called Bravo 5. I was told by George Lucas about wearing lipstick. Because I was the only woman, the only female fighter pilot.
what Have you had any experience in Hollywood? Are there too many strange offers or you just don’t want to spend any time there? Nibleck47
No, I really love Hollywood. I had five very happy seasons doing Better Things. Funny enough, I didn’t get any strange suggestions at all. I love Hollywood and everything about it, and just a click of a finger will take me back.

I just spoke with my son who is filming in San Francisco. And he was very interested in the question and my answer. Because my answer was, “No, he didn’t.” Because I never heard it. I am a faithful mother.

I used to live on the same block as you South London. Did you come to hear the cheers echoing through the courtyard that night? gathering storm The first time you appeared under Churchill’s name, it was on TV. secretary, Violet Fairmanthe opposite Albert Finney as Churchill? Kalundborg
It’s a great idea to have people cheering when I appear on television. I had the great pleasure of working as Churchill’s secretary with Albert Finney. It was a very small part, but I’d come in every morning and say, “Actually, I have an idea,” and I’d put it on his desk and he’d be like, “Oh, not just another fucking idea,” and he’d yell at me. But honestly, life isn’t like that. I don’t remember getting any cheers, sorry, but it’s a good idea.
What picture do you covet? I ask because you have been standing next to me for a while. Van Gogh exhibition at Tate Britain to 2019. i7777i
My favorite painting is Monet’s painting of the Thames River, it is truly breathtaking. There is another artist called André Derain, who painted a very colorful painting called Barges on the Thames. I would like to have it.
What was it like playing Edina’s PR Archie?competitor, Claudia BingAbsolutely great? The name was a nod to Crystal Bing, who my mother knew and who called you “Dear Celia” in a very grand Lady Bracknell type voice. Poste
Of course, I absolutely loved playing Jennifer Saunders’ archrival. Who wouldn’t? It’s truly an amazing series. Doesn’t that appeal to all of us, especially since we all understand greed and overindulgence? I got to wear nice clothes, and I was actually excited to participate in it.
I had a relationship called Crystal Bing. I think she might be a second cousin or something. When I first went to Los Angeles to film Calendar Girls, I got into the elevator and a gentleman turned to me and said, “Oh, Claudia Bing – Bing and Bing,” and then I pressed “Bing” on the lift and we went up together. He was the first person in America to recognize me.
What continues to inspire you to do so many different things when you can simply enjoy them? keep the orange
If you say, “You could just enjoy it, but do these different things,” what do you enjoy? Should I just enjoy doing nothing? If that’s the alternative, definitely not. I love keeping people guessing. Because I don’t want to get caught doing the same thing. I want to continue to change things up, challenge myself, and make the most of the time I have left without being dramatic. I loved playing a lawyer in war. Because we got to see the actual case at Southwark Crown Court. I may never actually be a Bond girl, but I wouldn’t mind being a Bond villain. I took trapeze lessons [the film] I love you Sarah. Because Mimi was part of the circus. I can’t climb particularly high, but I used to be a choir member, so I can dance and do a little twirl.
