BondIt, Buffalo 8, Sandaled Kid Productions join forces to produce horror film

BondIt Media Capital, Buffalo 8 Distribution and Sandaled Kid Productions have teamed up to produce a new horror film.

This partnership will result in the development of three commercial, high-concept horror films. BondIt is financing the slate and Buffalo 8 is releasing the titles. Sandaled Kid Productions will focus on project development and production.

“This partnership will bring together companies with complementary strengths and a shared belief in bold commercial genre filmmaking,” James Cullen Bressack, founder of Sandaled Kid Productions, said in a statement. “We wanted to feel fresh, marketable and truly scary, while also giving each film a chance to stand out in a crowded marketplace.”

The deal was negotiated by Bressack and Matthew Helderman, CEO and co-founder of BondIt and Buffalo 8. Bressack and Helderman will both serve as executive producers on all three films.

“James is a long-time collaborator of BondIt and the Buffalo 8 team, and we are excited to embark on another adventure with him as we aim to release this film in 2027,” Helderman said in a statement. “Original films in this genre reflect our continued expansion and focus on greenlighting new commercial projects for VOD audiences.”

Additional details, including title, production company, and production schedule, have not yet been announced.

Helderman founded Buffalo 8 in 2010, an independent media studio focused on production, post-production and distribution. BondIt launched in 2013 with a focus on removing the burden of capital from deposit production with guilds to ensure members receive their salaries on time.

The Sandaled Kid was released in 2020 with a focus on small and mid-budget genre films, particularly action and horror. Bressack’s works include “Darkness of Man,” “Hot Seat” and “Fortress.”
