Jimmy Kimmel said this after Trump called him a “loser.”

Donald Trump has been vocal about many things this week, including missing out on the Nobel Peace Prize again and hating Jimmy Kimmel. At a recent rally, the president described Kimmel as a “loser” because the late-night host commented on empty seats during one of his events.

“You loser Jimmy Kimmel,” Trump told the crowd at the rally. “What a loser. I just left Texas or something. The place was packed. And maybe Ohio. The place was packed.”

Trump then added, imitating Kimmel: “He said, ‘Donald Trump was a rare presence.’” [rally].’ I said, ‘Have you rarely attended?’ They had to walk thousands of people. They were not allowed into the stadium. These people are crooked. They are losers.”

“Do I really sound like that?” Kimmel responded. “Be honest. Of all the things I’ve said about him in the past week, of all the stupid and criminal things I’ve said and done in detail, that’s what’s bothering him. Am I pointing out the fact that there were empty seats at his meetings? So let’s try again. There were too many empty seats at the meetings. There were too many empty seats. There were even empty seats at the meetings, so he complained that I complained about there being empty seats at the meetings.”

Kimmel added, “He keeps insisting that the reason there are empty seats in the back and empty seats up top is because people love him so much that they come down to the front. Isn’t it interesting that that doesn’t happen at Lakers games? People just move up to the front. But at events controlled by the U.S. Secret Service, yes. But when I mentioned that there was a low attendance at those rallies, I didn’t even show it.”

The host cut to a photo of a half-empty rally in Alabama. Kimmel quipped, “It’s very similar to Trump’s cognitive function, not full-blown ability.”

Trump and Kimmel have constantly traded barbs over the past few years. While hosting the 2024 Oscars, Kimmel read one of Trump’s Truth Social posts during the ceremony and quipped, “Thank you, President Trump. Thank you for watching. I’m surprised you’re still awake. Isn’t it past your time in jail?” Trump later called Kimmel a “fabulous” and “one of the dumbest human beings of all time.”

Last year, Kimmel said: rolling stone He enjoys amplifying Trump. “Most comedians seem to have a strong sense of justice, and he violates that too often,” Kimmel said. “I know I should have tempered myself by now, but I don’t. It’s shocking. He looks like a cartoon villain. He seems like a character that’s going to burn out after a few years, but it’s amazing that he’s still with us. A year ago, I would have told people who don’t pay attention to the news what’s really going on and that I’d like things to change in that way. Obviously, before the election, it didn’t have enough of an impact. So now I think of it more as a place to scream.”
