slow speechS Season 6 Episode 5, “Sayonara,” prepares everyone for the season finale. The answers are starting to come together, and the villains are positioning themselves for the final battle.
The biggest downside to ‘Sayonara’ is that the majority of slow horses just sit around the hideout doing nothing. It’s a waste.
It might have helped a little if Lamb had been paired with someone. The closest we get is to asking Roddy for help. But this isn’t the same as having someone else on the field with Lamb.
Naturally, your hideout will be attacked. slow speech It’s Season 6 Episode 6, “Judgment Day,” so most of Slough House will soon have something to do.
But I still can’t help but wish some of them were doing anything other than arguing at Diana’s house. Watching them bicker on set and reluctantly work together to avoid screwing things up is one of the reasons we all watch this show in the first place.
It’s not much fun when Lamb, River, and Sid are lounging around trading snipe when they’re doing something much more interesting (and life-threatening).
River and Sid are the highlights of this hour.
They have some really great banter, and “Sayonara” really shows what might have happened between them if they hadn’t been apart for all these years.
Maybe it’s just the paranoid TV viewer in me, but River and Sid basically confirming that they both have feelings for each other means that either Sid will die in the season finale or River will never see her again.
The river cannot be happy. Especially not in a season where every member of Slough House is being hunted by an assassin.
It says a lot about the character of the show (or the paranoia of the viewer) that a moment like this can evoke fear instead of joy. It’s well done and adds another layer of tension to the show as we see Sid and River escape from the airfield.
Now we can only hope that whatever happens to Sid on “Judgment Day” won’t be too painful. River can’t handle any more trauma right now. He won’t admit it, but he is clearly very fragile.

- I wish more slow horses got a chance to interact with Sid.
- How is that assassin still alive?
- Diana may not be saved after sending Sid to his death.
- Also, who did Diana have a hit with?
